Do you want to help build and evolve a modern, cloud-native data platform that enables analytics, AI, and data-driven decisions across an international retail organization? This is an opportunity to combine software engineering, platform engineering, and data engineering in a role where you will have a real impact on the future of data and AI at Lindex.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be part of Lindex’s Data & Analytics team and play a key role in developing and evolving the technical foundation that enables data, analytics, and AI across the organization.
Your focus will be on the data platform rather than traditional data engineering. You will design, build, and operate services and pipelines that integrate data from operational systems and make data reliably available throughout the organization. Working across the full engineering lifecycle, you will take ownership from technical design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
-
Designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and integration services
-
Developing and orchestrating workflows using Apache Airflow and Airflow DAGs
-
Building and operating cloud-native solutions using containers, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure
-
Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
-
Improving automation, observability, security, reliability, and maintainability across the platform
-
Working with data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption capabilities
-
Supporting analytics, reporting, machine learning, and AI initiatives through a robust technical foundation
-
Establishing engineering standards, reusable components, and best practices that enable the wider Data & Analytics team to work more independently
-
Evaluating and implementing new technologies that strengthen the platform’s future capabilities
You will collaborate closely with Analytics Engineers, platform teams, and other technical stakeholders while contributing to future AI initiatives and helping ensure the platform is ready for the next generation of data-driven services.
