ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an R&D Manager for Cloud Applications to lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of cloud solutions within our InduSuite platform – a cloud-based digital ecosystem. You will report to the Product Director Digital Solutions and work closely with cross‑functional R&D teams globally.
You will have full responsibility for leading the Cloud Applications team consisting of approximately 10 people (UX/UI, Front‑end, Back‑end, DevOps), steering development projects, safeguarding technical quality, and ensuring that our solutions align with the product roadmap and deliver real business impact.
In this role, you will:

Contribute actively to the evolution and long‑term direction of the Digital Solutions organization

Lead and develop the Cloud Applications team, including hiring, performance reviews, competence development, and salary processes

Ensure that product roadmaps, requirements, and technical use cases are well‑defined and aligned

Oversee the end‑to‑end development lifecycle using agile methodologies

Drive improvements in development methods, tools, and delivery performance

Ensure thorough testing and quality control before launches

Manage budget, resources, and daily prioritization

Collaborate closely with global R&D units, especially in UX/UI and front-end development

Represent the Cloud Applications area internally and externally, ensuring strong communication with product management and stakeholders

Uphold ESAB’s values and promote a strong safety culture in daily operations
YOUR PROFILE

You communicate clearly, motivate others, and maintain focus even when navigating complex challenges.
You have:

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering

5+ years of experience from product development within software
-
Experience of leading global teams

Experience from cloud‑based architecture/ software development, preferably on Microsoft Azure

Strong understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum

Experience of working in R&D

Proven ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization, including senior management

Strong technical understanding and the ability to lead development teams under challenging conditions

Solid organizational and time‑management skills

Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written

Awareness of technology trends, ideally within the welding industry, and the ability to translate these into product improvements
